CARNIVAL

One of the most well-known cultural activities in the area, is the Carnival that is organized every year on Tyrini Sunday (Orthodox Easter). 

Masquerades and parallel events for young and old are held every year with the valuable participation of residents, visitors, cultural clubs and organizations.

THE SARDINE FESTIVAL

The Sardine Festival, which takes place every year around July 26th, features a variety of music and dance events with live music, lots of dancing and free seafood!

It is a custom of the old fishermen of the area, to obtain fresh fish and full nets, throughout the year.

SAINT JOHN'S FESTIVAL

The Feast of Saint John takes place every year on August 29, commemorating the settlement of the Minor Asia  refugees in the village. 

OTHER EVENTS

• During the summer, theatrical and musical performances are organized with the valuable participation of local theatrical clubs and tours. In particular, on the occasion of the feast of Prophet Elias on July 20, traditional festivals are organized escorted with live music and food.

• SOUGLIANI TRAIL

  Every year, the Naturalist Organization of Stavros, organizes the Mountain Run Sougliani Trail 24.5km – Sougliani Path 12km – Sougliani Kids 1km, with the institution reaching its 6th consecutive year, on April 26, 2020, with over 300 athletes from all over Greece and other countries!
